On 5 October 1931, she was married to Jason Carey, a Spanish American War Veteran, by Judge William Hoar, in Seattle, Washington. This union lasted until the death of Jason, on 3 November 1941. Jason Passed away at Seaside, Washington and is buried at the Washigton Veterans Home cemetery in Retsil, Washington.
Edith passed away on 29 July 1963 at the Montana Soldiers Home and is buried in their cemetery at Columbia Falls, Montana.
