Funeral services for Mrs Stella M Petty, 97, of 129 E Oak, Vassar, were conducted yesterday (Wednesday) from the Clark Funeral Home, Vassar. The Rev. Clayton Turner officiated with burial in Riverside Cemetery, Vassar.

Mrs Petty died Sunday at the Fisher Convalescent Home in Mayville after a lengthy illness. She was born Stella Williamson December 17, 1874, in Lenape, Kan. and moved to Vassar in 1935. She was a member of the Vassar Presvyterian Church.

Surviving are five daughters and four sons, Mrs Pauline Dowding and Mrs Edith Gibler, both in Kansas; Mrs Marguerite Rubbe and Mrs Beryl Brown, Mrs Paul Willert and Jesse Petty, all of Vassar; James Petty, Lapeer; Allan Petty, Saginaw; Champ Petty of California; 38 grandchildren; 76 great grandchildren; 32 great great grandchildren. Another son, Thomas, predeceased her in 1952.
