Born in East Freetown, he lived all his life there and was a member of East Freetown Congregational Christian Church. He was formerly employed as a partner and president of Sprague & Reynolds Box Co. of Norton and was an electrician
with the former Bostock-Inman Co., of Taunton, prior to going into the box business.
Mr. Hill was a member of Star in the East Lodge, AF & AM of New Bedford and Assawompset Lodge, I.O.O.F., of Middleboro; a 50 year member and currently the Gatekeeper of the East Freetown Grange No. 307 treasurer of the Freetown Council
on Aging; president of East Freetown Senior Citizens Club; permanent Trustee of James White Memorial Library of East Freetown; member of Chace Cemetery Association and former member of the Freetown Finance Committee and of Electricians Union Local 235.
In addition to his widow, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Robert B. Blair and Mrs. Frederick C.N. Boehler both of East Freetown and a sister, Mrs. Kenneth W. Winslow of East Freetown.
Funeral services were held Sunday at the Kirby Funeral Home, New Bedford.
