Clara Irene Belzer, 91, of Grove passed from this life February 10, 2011.

She was born February 7, 1920 in Oilton, OK, the daughter of Alfred and Bertha Hotz. She graduated from Drumright, OK high school and at the beginning of World War II she went to Washington, D.C. to work in the War Department. It was there she met the love of her life, John E. Belzer a Sergeant in the Army Air Corps. They were married September 4, 1942 and had over 57 wonderful years together.

After the war they moved to Tulsa and remained there until they retired to Grove in 1980. She lost John in 2000 and moved to the Honeycreek Retirement Village where she made many friends.

She is survived by two sons, John and his wife Alma of Shawnee; and Steve and his wife Pam of Ponca City; grandchildren JB Belzer (wife Trina), Jennifer (Belzer) Lindsey (husband Brian) and Marissa Belzer; great-grandchildren Jessica, Jonathan, and Daniel Lindsey; and Joshua and Sean Belzer. She is also survived by a sister, Katie Suever of Sebring, FL.

She was preceded in death by great-grandsons Brendan, Matthew and Kyle Lindsey.

A Rosary will be held 7:00 PM Monday evening February 14, 2011 at Ellis Family Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Tuesday February 15, 2011 at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church in Grove, with Father Alex Kennedy officiating.

Interment will follow at Olympus Cemetery.
