Mrs. Zellie Parker
Funeral services for Mrs. Zellie Parker, 83, of Hull were held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 17 in Allison Memorial Chapel with the Rev. David Elliott, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was in Moss Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Donald Taylor, Buford Johnson, Oscar Purswell, Tommy Craig, Zeke Dryden and Hale Johnston, Jr.
Mrs. Parker passed away in Kersting Memorial Hospital Monday night. Born in Batson, she was a lifetime resident of Batson-Hull area. She was a member of the Baptist Church.
She is survived by five sons: Hubert Fregia, Clyde McCreight, Claude Parker and Sam Parker, all of Moss Hill, and Franklin Parker of Hardin; eight daughters, Mrs. Raymond Blair and Mrs. Eugene Goodson, both of Houston, Mrs. Elmer Mecom of Hull, Mrs. Elmer Purswell of Channelview, Mrs. George Sims of Dallas, Mrs. R. W. Weatherford of North Zulch, Mrs. Johnny Lawrence of Edna and Mrs. D. W. Moulder of Moss Hill; six brothers, Jim Fregia of Batson, John Fregia of Batson, Madison Fregia of Hull, J.L. Fregia of Daisetta, Claude Fregia of Liberty and Clarence Fregia, also of Liberty; ten sisters, Mary Fregia of Batson, Mrs. Evie McCreight of Batson, Mrs. Zelida Fregia of Liberty, Mrs. Elizabeth Whiteley of Batson, Mrs. Florence McCarvell of Batson, Mrs. Cynthia Fregia of Hull, Mrs. Bessie Dagle of Daisetta, Mrs. Edna Witt of New Braunfels, Mrs. Ruth Copeland of Tarkington Prairie and Mrs. Viola Wilkerson of Saratoga; 47 grandchildren and 70 great-grandchildren.
