Funeral services for Zelmar Lee Obermiller, 85, of Belton, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton with the Rev. Billy Pedigo and the Rev. Bob Miller officiating. Burial will be at Bellwood. Mrs. Obermiller died Nov. 14, 2009, at a Temple hospital.

Mrs. Obermiller was born Feb. 10, 1924, in Colorado City to Giles Dow Pettit and Minnie Rosie Etta Bond Pettit. She married Eugene William Obermiller Feb. 14, 1948, in Temple. She was a member of Belton Church of the Nazarene. She lived in Belton most of her life. She enjoyed sewing and cooking.

Survivors include daughters, Joann Herring and her husband, Bobby, Berneta "Nita" Culp and her husband, Dwight, Deb Kelton and her husband, Kirk; eight grandchildren, Robin Herring, Mickey Herring and his wife, Christine, Kimberly K. Herring, Keith Culp and his wife, Rosemary, Alyssa Culp, Mary Beth Kelton, Jaclynn Kelton and Laura Kelton; six great-grandchildren, Christopher Herring, Brian Herring, Dillyn Herring, Cody Culp, D.J. Culp and Devon Culp; great-grandchildren will be pallbearers. Her husband preceded her in death in 1993 and one daughter, Glenda Merle Obermiller, as a child. Dossman Funeral Home in Belton is in charge of arrangements.
