Lucy's father died testate at Winchester in 1784. His will and probate record was first sloppily recorded by the clerk of the probate court with daughter Lucy written as "Lucia" or "Lucier" in the will. The second and clearly legible recording in the same probate volume was made by son-in-law Elijah Rockwell Esq., Justice of the Peace, in which Lucy is firmly written as John's daughter Lucy. On 19 Jan. 1775 at north adjacent Colebrook, CT, Lucy m. Elijah Rockwell, s. of Capt. Joseph and Anne, or Anna (Dodd) Rockwell, b. 14 Nov. 1744 at East Windsor, CT. He d. 2 Aug. 1742 at Colebrook (g.s.) where Lucy also d. 25 May 1830 (g.s.) Six recorded children of the family at Colebrook.
