Elsie Livengood Moore Rogers, 87, of Kannapolis, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2006, at the Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County Hospice House. Born May 6, 1919, in Mocksville, she was a daughter of the late John Yates and Lula May Livengood. She was a retired seamstress for Troutman Shirt Company. She was a member of Corriher Heights Baptist Church, Landis.

Mrs. Rogers was preceded in death by husbands, Corbitt “Cobb” Taylor Moore and Homer Banks Rogers; and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by her children, Jimmy Moore and wife, Emily, of Friendsville, Tenn., and Carolyn Moore Conner and husband, David, of Kannapolis; sisters, Betty Smith of Kannapolis and Emma Starling of Mooresville; grandchildren, Brian Kiser, Alisha Moore, Christina Moore, Meiling Finn and Paul Conner; stepchildren; stepgrandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Friday, Oct. 6, at CavinCook Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chris Pethel officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 5, at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home.
