DOB estimated from age at death being 35 years. It is a rounded year, so not exact.

Married George Riley on February 15, 1842.

Am using DOB/DOD information as known/estimated by local resarchers and used in the local cemetery listings based, partly, on their headstone inscription data. The headstone is now quite weathered and there is no death record information for the 1850's so this contributor hesitates to add additional and more specific information other than noting additional message information below.

Note: this memorial updated November 28, 2015 with a relationship link to her father, per edit request. According to the memorial for her father her full name may have been Sarah Ellen J. McMurray Riley.

Note: the following information received via SAC message on Sunday, Sept. 24, 2017 from Toni Nash regarding this memorial -

"Elen Jane McMurray Riley was the daughter of Joseph McMurray and Margaret McClintock. According to my research, she was born in 1819 in Ohio. She married George Riley on February 15, 1842 at Madison, Ohio. She had three children by George Riley but only one, Mariah, lived to adulthood. The 1850 census for Macon, Macon Co., Illinois shows George and Elen living together with their daughter, Mariah, who is three, Elen's father, Joseph McMurray who is seventy-one and George's brother, Hemborn Riley who is twenty-four. Elen did have an older sister, Sarah McMurray Judy who died in the same year that Elen did. Elen also had a younger sister, Catherine, who passed before either of her sisters...she would be my gg grandmother."
