Mrs Eleanor "Ele" Lybrand Cato, age 81, of Aiken, SC, passed away on April 8, 2011. Mrs. Cato was a member of the St. John United Methodist Church and a graduate of Aiken High School. She retired as a secretary for the ecology lab at the. Savannah River Site.

She was the daughter of the late James & Leota Lott Lybrand and was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Cato.

Survivors include her son, Joseph (Diane) Cato of Richland, WA; grandchildren, Jennifer (Christopher) Binder of Greenville, SC, & Jonathan Cato of Richland, WA; great-grandson, Ellis Binder of Greenville, SC; sister-in-law Harriette Crouch of Hartsville, SC; and extended family Butch, Susan, Gabe, Jessica and Jordan Holsomback of Aiken, SC.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, April 13, 2011, at the George Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Aiken.
