THE REV. ERNEST F. Bias, 79, of Sierra Vista, formerly of Salt Rock, W.Va., died Saturday in a Sierra Vista hospital after a long illness. He was a *Baptist minister with 58 years' service and a member of Susannah Baptist Church, Culloden, W.Va. Surviving: wife Violet Vititoe Bias; sons, Ken of Sierra Vista, Ernest Jr. of Liberty, Texas, Donald of Canyon Lake, Texas; daughter, Mrs. Sarah F. Chowning
of Saudi Arabia; brother, Hubert of Parkersburg; 16 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren Service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, near Ona, W.Va., with the Rev. R.L. Black officiating.

The 8th Annual Meeting of the National Ass'n of Free Will Baptist list of ministers, shows him present from W.VA.
He was active in the denomination for years.

His parents were Evermont V. BIAS and Ellender (Hoskinson) BIAS.
He married Violet Vititoe, 02 Sept. 1927, at Huntington, Cabel Co. WVA. She was the daughter of Benjamin VITITOE, and Maggie A. (McCallister) VITITOE.

In his later years, they moved to Arizona, where he died, and his body was flown back to the place of his nativity for burial.
