SAFFELL — Denny Lee Clayton, 67, of Saffell died Saturday, May 7, 2011, in a Little Rock hospital.
Born Nov. 29, 1943, at Batesville, he was the son of Lester and Bernice Allen Clayton. He was a farmer and a member of Saffell Missionary Baptist Church for more than 50 years.
Survivors include his wife of 16 years, Dorothy Clayton; two stepdaughters, Debra Cunningham and Deanna Richardson, both of Batesville; a brother, Roger Clayton of Saffell; a sister, Ann Turnbow of Jonesboro; four step-grandchildren, Trae Richardson, Michelle Lankford, Emily Richardson and Jackson Richardson, all of Batesville; and several nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Saffell Missionary Baptist Church with Larry Etheridge and Keith Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Lincoln Ward Cemetery in Saffell under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers will be Larry Allen, David Allen, Tommy Tidwell, Wendell Saffell, Charles Randolph and Randy Richey.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
