He and his twin, Octavius John, were baptized at St Giles Church, Camberwell, on 9 Jan 1822, at the same time as their younger brother, Charles Decimus. He married Emily Alford on 5 June 1856 at St John the Evangelist, Clapham, and it seems they had no children. In 1861 they lived in Lower Tulse Hill, Brixton, in 1871 at 23 The Terrace, Kennington Park, Kennington, and in 1881 they were found at 58 Grafton Road, Broadwater, East Sussex. When his wife died in 1889 they were living at 92 Lansdowne Road, South Lambeth. He died at 10 Oakley Square, St Pancras, London, the home of his twin brother, Octavius John Crosley, whose wife Elizabeth had died nearly two months previously. He left a personal estate of £3,086 6s 11d.
