Lois C. Commander

HOUSTON -- Lois C. Commander, 84, a retired stockroom and customer pickup employee at J.C. Penney, died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 1997, at a Tomball hospital.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Friday at Martin's Funeral Home. Burial: Laurel Land Cemetery in Fort Worth.

Lois C. Commander was born Dec. 25, 1912, in Garner. She was a member of the Granbury Church of Christ. Mrs. Commander split her residence between Granbury, Fort Worth, Houston and Corpus Christi for the last 20 years. She retired from J.C. Penney. She was also a member of the J.C. Penney Retiree's Association.

Survivors:Daughters and sons-in- law, Mildred and Gene Hamilton of Houston and Joyce and Ed Blackman of Corpus Christi; sisters and brother-in- law, Opal Woolery of Granbury and Lavern and A.L. Warnick of Fort Worth; grandchildren, David Blackman of San Diego, Calif., Dr. Michael Blackman of Rockport and Tracie Steele of Houston; great-granchildren, Zachry Steele of Houston, Taylor Steele of Houston and Eric Blackman of San Diego, Calif.
