Rockdale, Tex., Dec. 6. -- After a lingering illness of several months R.H. Hicks died at his home here this morning. Mr. Hicks was a member of the state penitentiary board and a partner of the firm of Scarbrough & Hicks of several towns of this section of the state. He lived a Christian life, a member of the Baptist Church of this place. Deceased leaves a wife, two sons and one daughter, besides a number of more distant relatives.
