Frances S. Sanders, of New Oxford and formerly of McSherrystown, died May 4, 2011, in Hanover. She was the wife of Roger J. Sanders Sr., her husband of 72 years.
Born January 22, 1918, in McSherrystown, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Lorena (Weaver) Storm.
Frances was a 1936 graduate of Central Catholic High School, McSherrystown.
She was a life long member of Annunciation BVM Catholic Church in McSherrystown.
Mrs. Sanders was retired from Middleburg Manufacturing in Hanover.
Surviving in addition to her husband are four children, Dolores Erickson and husband, Kenneth of North Carolina, Charlotte Glessner and husband, Charles of Hanover, Roger J. Sanders Jr. and wife, Veronica of Mechanicsburg, and Patrick Sanders and wife, Denise of New Cumberland; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three siblings, Joseph Storm of McSherrystown, Gladys Smith of Hanover, and Betty Krumrine of McSherrystown.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Roger Erickson, and three siblings, Mary Jo Gouker, Thomas Storm, and Robert Storm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. May 9, 2011 at Annunciation Catholic Church, McSherrystown with the Rev. Lawrence W. Sherdel officiating with interment following at Annunciation Cemetery, McSherrystown.
