Born April 14, 1888, in Houseville, she was the daughter of Frank and Anna Wiilard Ackerman.
She was married to Jay Gallup Jan. 9, 1908, in Port Leyden. He died April 28, 1969. She lived in Port Leyden until six years ago.
Mrs. Gallup taught school briefly in Houseville and was a member of the Forest Presbyterian Church, Lyons Falls, and Dewey Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by two daughters, Miss Esther Gallup, Syracuse and Mrs. Alice Hallas, Byron, GA; a son, Frank Gallup, Port Leyden; two sisters, Mrs. Emma McEwan, Canajoharie and Mrs. Ralph (Hattie) Wolcott, Glenfield; a brother, Fay Ackerman, New York Mills; seven grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
A son, Albert Gallup, died in Lowville Nov. 2, 1977, and a sister, Mrs. Frances Ingraham, died Dec. 22, 1974, in Lowville.
Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Lyons Falls. Boonville Herald, Wednesday, December 28, 1977
