William Homer Fiveash, 85, 2219 Selma Ave., died Friday in a local rest home after a lengthy illness.


Funeral services will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Warren Cooper of the Central Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in New Live Oak Cemetery.


Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary E. Fiveash; four daughters, Mrs. Ossie F. Putnam, Selma, Mrs. Homer Leigh F. Moorer, Hardaway, Mrs. Yvonne F. Hancock, Sprott, and Mrs. Archie F. Lloyd, Pontiac, Mich.; one son, Brownlee Fiveash, Tuscaloosa; one sister, Mrs. Mollie F. Ward, Pensacola, Fla.; 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.


A native of Toombs County, Ga., he was a resident of Selma for 28 years and was employed locally by Miller Lumber Co. He was a Shriner and a member of the Central Baptist Church.
