Baum Services Set Saturday

Evelyon Baum, Broken Bow, was born Jan. 3, 1921, at Amity, Ark., to William Lon and Rosa Mae Dillard Fagan. She passed away Thursday morning, June 15, 2000, at McCurtain Manor Nursing Home, Broken Bow, at the age of 79 years, 5 months and 12 days.

Ms. Baum had lived in McCurtain County most all of her life. She was a homemaker, a member of the First Christian Church, Broken Bow, and a member of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed cooking and raising her children.

She married Ruffus Baum on Feb. 22, 1947, at De Queen, Ark. They had just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary when Mr. Baum preceded her in death on March 9, 1997.

Her parents, brothers Ellis and Mutt Fagan, and sister Rachel Jordan also preceded her in death.

Surviving Ms. Baum will be her children, Johnny Baum of Terrell, Texas, and Margie Larcade and Rose Mary Grugan, both of Broken Bow; a stepdaughter, Ann Sanders of Belleview, Mo.; her sisters, Winnie Bobo of Blacksprings, Ark., and Joy Pearson and Edna McBrayer, both of Longview, Wash.; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 17, at Norwood-Coffey-Leonard Chapel, Broken Bow. Dr. Tim Wilkins of Broken Bow First United Methodist Church will officiate. Committal services will follow in Denison Cemetery, Idabel.
