Obituary:
Frederick Durtschi, 92, died Thursday at 1:15 a.m. at his residence, 949 East Thirty-third South street, of causes incident to age.
A son of Johannes and Margareta Winkler Durtschi. Mr. Durtschi was born in Switzerland, December 22, 1845.
A farmer and cabinetmaker, he came to Utah in 1904, settling in Midway. He had been a Salt Lake City resident for the past eight years.
Long active in the L.D.S. church, Mr. Durtschi was a high priest in the Hillcrest L. D. S. ward.
Surviving are six sons, John and Fred Durtschi of Midway; William, Ernest and Alfred Durtschi of Salt Lake City; and Hulderich Durtschi of Mexico; two daughters, Mrs. Elsie Gertsch of Midway and Mrs. Lena Burgener of Salt Lake City; 36 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Hillcrest L.D.S. ward, with interment in City cemetery.
