Mrs. Grace Ardean Lewis, 79, of 253 1/2 East Main Street, Westminster, died Monday, Oct. 23, 1961, at University Hospital, Baltimore, after a brief illness. She was the widow of Milton Ray Lewis, who died In 1931. and a daughter of the late James and Virginia Beddinger Long. Mrs. Lewis is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Ruth Gobrecht, Hanover; Mrs. Nellie Topper, Gettysburg; Mrs. Margaret Munzer, Baltimore; Mrs. Clara Michel, Albuquerque, N. M., and Mrs. Marie Ealy, Los Angeles, Calif.; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters and three brothers, Mrs. Jesse Phelps, Frederick; Mrs. Edward Long, Jesse Long and Howard Long, all of Westminster, and Alvin Long. Uniontown. Funeral services were held at the Saffell Funeral Home, Westminster, at 2 p.m. Thursday. Oct. 26. The Rev. Dr. Elwood S. Falkenstein, pastor of Grace Lutheran Church, officiated.
