Helen M. Kramer, 79, formerly of 3209 Godman Ave., and 726 Luick Ave., died Thursday in Williamsburg Village Nursing Home after a long illness.
Mrs. Kramer, who was born in Washington, moved to Muncie in 1936. She was a nurse's aide at Ball Memorial Hospital for 27 years before she retired in the 1960s. She was a member of Riverview Church of the Nazarene and the 20 Plus Club at BMH.
Survivors include four sons, Thomas S. Kramer (wife-Carolyn), Albany, and David E. Kramer, James O. Kramer (wife-Evelyn), and Steve A. Kramer (wife-Jessica), all of Muncie; two daughters, Carol Peckham (husband-Ralph), Indianapolis, and Judy Johnson, Muncie; a brother, Charles Bovenschen (wife-Mary Helen), Indianapolis; a sister, Mary Long, Monticello; two sisters-in-law, Iva Kramer and Oma Bovenschen, Carlisle; 25 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
Her husband, Sherrell Kramer, died in 1961. A son, Carl R. Kramer; a brother, Alva Bovenschen; three sisters, Lucille Bovenschen, Betty Lacer and Ruth Demaree; and two grandchildren, Robin Johnson and Cris Kramer, also are deceased.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Riverview Church of the Nazarene, with Rev. A. Richard Veach officiating. Burial will be in Mount Tabor Cemetery, southeast of Muncie.
Calling will be 2-6 p.m. Sunday and before services Monday at Parson Mortuary.
