David Walker Woods, a son of the Rev. James S. Woods, was born in Lewistown August 29, 1822. He was educated at the classical school taught by his father, and studied law with his brother, the late Judge Samuel S. Woods, and also with E.L. Benedict. He was admitted to practice at the bar of Mifflin County August, 1844, practiced for several years at New Berlin, and later removed to Lewistown, where he yet resides.
