Estelle Hazel McNeill passed away peacefully in Redwood City, Calif., on April 5, 2011. She was born on December 8, 1914 in Walnut Creek, Calif., and raised in San Francisco. The youngest of 10 children, and the last surviving child of Otto and Marie Boehm of Germany.
Estelle was predeceased by her husband Robert Chambers, of 48 years, and her second husband Charles McNeill.
She is survived by her children, Carolyn Manning of Auburn, Marilyn (Guy) La Motte of Lake of the Pines, and Robert Chambers of Redwood City. Her grandchildren, Jon (Cheri) La Motte of Redwood City, Cindy Bowman of Auburn, Todd (Linda) Mackey of Lincoln, and Michelle (Jason) Kirk of Sierraville, Calif. Her great-grandchildren, Taylor Mackey, Richelle and Garrett, Kirk, and Kylie Bowman.
Mom was the most amazing woman whose greatest pleasure was to be with her family. She enjoyed sitting on her porch visiting with friends and neighbors, and talking on the phone with the special people in her life. She loved taking trips, especially to the coast. Mom had a special gift to make friends wherever she went.
We love you, and will miss you so much.
Graveside Services will be held at the New Auburn Cemetery on Friday, May 6, 2011 at 12:00 noon.
