Claude Jackson Archer Sr., 65, Route 6, Greenville, died at 3:15 a.m. Tuesday at University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, Va.
A retired school teacher at North Greene High School, he was a member of Ottway United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lula Margaret Archer; two sons, C.J. Archer Jr., Greenville, and David Solon Archer, Kingsport; four grandchildren.
Friends may call from 7-9 tonight at the funeral home.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. tomorrow from Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home with the Rev. Homer Roller officiating.
Burial will be in Price's Cemetery in Romeo.
