FREDA E. MAYES FARNSWORTH REED, 76, of Huntington, W.Va., passed away Saturday, June 18, 2005, at Home Sweet Home, Chesapeake, Ohio. Funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2005, at Beard Mortuary with the Rev. E.R. Houck officiating. Burial will follow in Crook Chapel Cemetery, Huntington. She was born June 7, 1929, in Gallia County, Ohio, a daughter of the late Robert and Vivian Hunt Mayes. She was also preceded in death by one son, Charles Farnsworth; two brothers, Robert F. Mayes and William R. Mayes; and one granddaughter, Mary Beth Williamson. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Mike Dituro; two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Connie Farnsworth and Bill and Sue Farnsworth; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and a host of friends; and special friend and neighbor, Doris Crabtree.
