Thomas Cobane, 66, passed away yesterday morning at his home on Taneum Creek. Mr. Cobane was born in County Trone, Ireland, April 28, 1868 and moved to Canada when six years old. He came to Kittitas County 44 years ago. For several years after coming here he was a carpenter and house mover. For the past three years he has operated a store and service station on the Taneum.
He was married to Miss Grace DeShazer in Ellensburg in 1900 who survives him as his widow. Other survivors include Alfred, Jesse, Tommy, Sammy, Mary, of Ellensburg, and Mrs. Violet Fields, Auburn, children and one brother and a sister, William Cobane and Lettie Moore, both or Portland.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 Tuesday at the Honeycutt Chapel with Rev. Harry Bell in charge. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery.
