Lifetime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Accomplished pianist/organist and teacher of same.
Beloved by both family, friends and students. Mother to Byron Lee Napper, who preceded her in death, and to Bonnie Napper Sortland. Grandmother to Beverly Gay Christensen Atkin and Breonna Noel Sortland.

Gladys is remembered as a patient mother, a good listener, a trusted friend and loyal companion to her eternal husband of 55 years, Don Leroy Napper. Both Dad and Mom were born in Smithfield, and met as musicians at a local dance. In her lifetime, Gladys wrote the published song, A PRAYER, which should truly be the main song for the Relief Society organization of the Church. Mom's life was devoted to her
family, her Church and her music.

I know you are "somewhere out there", Beko, and I miss you ever so much. Like the song says, you are..."once, twice, three times a lady ~ and I love you." Your daughter, Bonnie
