Owen D. Galey, 78, Del City, born September 16, 1917 in Emporia, Kansas to Elizabeth L. and Owen D. Galey. He died Sunday, April 28, 1996. He moved to Del City in April, 1948. He served in World War II with the 3rd Army 50th Field Artillery Battalion. He retired from Tinker AFB in 1974, where he had worked as a classroom Jet Engine Instructor. He was a member of the American Legion Post 170 in Midwest City and a member of National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Betty Barbara Galey; daughters, Barbara A. Brisben and husband, Frank I. Brisben of Lincolnshire, Illinois, Joan M. Marburger and husband, Edward F. Marburger of Oklahoma City, Donna L. Auchenbach of Atlanta, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert O. Galey. Other survivors include grandchildren, Lance M. Brisben and wife, Lois J. Brisben of Mundelein, Illinois and Sean M. Auchenbach of Atlanta, Georgia; and many other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be at Rose Hill Burial Park, 6006 N.W. Grand Boulevard on Wednesday, May 1, 1996, at 1:00 p.m. with arrangements by Bill Eisenhour.
