Charles E. Tyre, 66 of Huxley, went to see the Lord on July 3, 2007. He was born on February 20, 1941. Mr. Tyre was a very devoted family man. He loved having all his children, grandchildren, family and friends around. Before he got sick years ago, he was in the construction business. After his children got older, he and his wife loved driving across country in his 18-wheeler. Mr. Tyre also enjoyed riding Harleys, hunting and fishing. He was the best husband, dad, grandfather, and great grandfather a family could ask for. He was a member of the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held at 4 PM, Thursday, July 5, 2007 at Watson and Sons Chapel with Bro Don Windham officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center.

Pallbearers will be Bill White, Maury Miller, Josh Horton, Josh Gilliespie, Brian Bishop and Ricky McFadden. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dusty Barbee, Jack Tyre, James Tyre and Ray Stroope.

Survivors include: Wife of 48 years, Mary Tyre of Huxley Sons: Chuck Tyre and wife Mandy of Huxley, and Chris Tyre of Shelbyville; Daughter: Sandy Sanford of Center; Godson: Billy White of Shelbyville; Grandchildren: Kristy Horton and husband Josh, Jennifer Tyre and fiance Josh Gilliespie, Bradley Richards and wife Lauren, Christina Barbee and husband Dusty, Scotty Tyre, Jessica Tyre, Dustin Sanford, Colton Tyre, Deanne Hughes adn Ryleigh Hughes.; Great Grandchildren: Taylor Horton, Logan Horton, Kiersten Richards and one expected great grandchild.; Sisters: Peggy Choate and husband Richard of Quitman and Linda Stroope and husband Ray of Huxley; Sister in law: Linday Tyre of Center; Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins

Preceded in death by: Parents, Edgar and Bessie Tyre, Brother, James Tyre and Grandson Patrick Dustin Tyre

Visitation will be held from 6 PM to 8 PM on Wednesday, July 4, 2007 at Watson and Sons Funeral Home in Center.
