Mrs. Samuel H. Murphy
Julia Sterner Murphy, 103 died yesterday at Longwood Villa Nursing Home, East Boothwyn, where she resided for the past six years.
She was the widow of the late Samuel H. Murphy. Born in Watsontown, she had been a resident of Kennett Square for 62 years.
She was a member of the Kennett Square Presbyterian Church and was a charter member of the Kennett Square 513 Order of the Eastern Star. She was active for many years in the American Legion Auxiliary, Wm. W. Fahey Post, Kennett Square.
She is survived by a son, Richard N. of Kennett Square, a sister, Mrs. Matilda Wright of Watsontown, two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Worrall & Kuzo funeral home, 250 W. State St., Kennett Square. Internment will be in Longwood Cemetery.
