Son of Henry Hysinger, Jr. and Barbary (Geisler) Hysinger; born in Pennsylvania, as were his siblings; husband of (1) Mary Emerenie Bowman; (2) Rebecca C. Sharp; (3) Sarah (Sally) Phillips; father of Barbara, Sarah, David, Isaac, Adam, William with wife # 1; Rebecca A., Willis, John James. and Janie with wife # 3. Lost an arm fighting on the side of the South in the Civil War. Arrived in Rockcastle County after the Civil War but before the 1870 Census, bringing his 1st 6 children with him.
