Oscar Dewey “Dee” Bostic, 55, died at Mt. Vernon Tuesday after a short illness.
Mr. Bostic was born the son of Oscar and Liza Jordan Bostic in 1901 in Rockcastle County. He was a member of the Holiness Church and served in the Army during World War I.
In 1928 he married Bertha Dooley who preceded him in death. He is survived by one son, William Bostic, of Mt. Vernon; one sister, Mrs. Jessie Mullins, and one brother, Harvey Lee Bostic, both of Mt. Vernon and six grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday at Cox Funeral Home with Bro. Rolla Cornelius and Bro. G. W. Murphy officiating. He was buried at Buckeye.
