She was born Nov. 4, 1919 in Rock Falls, IL, the daughter of Emory and Karrie Hoag Sisson. She married Gerald B. Griffith Dec. 19, 1936, in Morrison, IL.
She was a homemaker and loved sports and was an avid Cub and Illini fan. She was the first Miss Flora and was voted Clay County's Greatest Grandma in 1998.
Survivors include her husband; children, Edna White, Phyllis Pickel, Sharon Davis, Sandy Blackwell, Gerald Griffith, and Terry Lane; one brother, Frank Sisson; two sisters, Helen Sucher and Marjorie Dennison.
She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents and seven brothers, Kenneth, Archie, Maynard, Dale, Joe, Bill, and Emory.
Funeral services were held at Frank and Bright Funeral Home with burial in New Church Cemetery in Orchardville.
