Martha Foster Leonard, 86, of Nampa, died Wednesday, December 4. 1991, at a Nampa care center. Martha Foster Leonard was born on October 18, 1905, in Twin Falls, Idaho, to George and Fannie Turner Holmes. She attended schools in the Magic Valley until she moved with her family to Nampa where she graduated from Nampa High School. She married Delbert Foster on November 5, 1924, in Caldwell. They lived in Long Valley where he was a logger. In 1931 they moved to Nampa and lived on a small acreage on Orchard Ave. They divorced in 1966. She married Fred Leonard on June 1, 1969, in Nampa. He died in 1970. She has worked as a homemaker her entire married life. She was a member of the Nampa Christian Church and was a 50 plus year member of the Order of Eastern Star. She was also a member of the Daughters of the Nile and the Lady Elks. She loved a variety of sports which she participated in, including golf, bowling, camping and fishing.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Bernard and Mary Foster, Riggins, ID; four grandchildren, Michael Foster of Molla11a, OR., Candice Thomas and Pamela Foster, both of Grangeville, ID, and Shelly Bigger of Lewiston, ID: 15 grandchildren; one great-grandson; and a brother, Cecil Holmes of Boise, ID.
