Death of Mrs. Susan Randolph.
Mrs. Susan Randolph, age 68, died at her home in the west part of town Saturday evening after being sick for three months. She was the widow of the late W. F. Randolph, whom she married in February, 1909, and who died January 23, 1917. Previously Mrs. Randolph was the widow of John Corbin, whom she married here in 1892, and who died in February, 1901, leaving one son, Lee Corbin, who tenderly carried for his mother in her last years. Besides the son she leaves two sisters, Mrs. Jake Culler and Mrs. Bell Parish, both of Edina, and three brothers, William Gragg, Thomas Gragg, and Charley Gragg, living near Edina. Funeral services were held at the home Monday, Res. S. E. Botsford conducting the services. Burial was in Linville cemetery. When a young girl Mrs. Randolph united with the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, but after coming to Edina she transferred her membership to the M. E. Church, South. Mrs. Randolph was born in Newport, Tenn., August 16, 1850. Her parents came to Knox County when she was quite small and settled on a form ten miles northeast of Edina.
