STATESBORO -- Ralph William Ballard, 75, died Nov. 23 at home under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice. He was a native of Bulloch County and a resident of Chicago for 40 years before returning to Statesboro 10 years ago. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a retired electrician, a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and a Baptist.
SURVIVORS: his wife, Isabelle Ballard of Statesboro; a daughter-in-law, Karen Ballard of Rantoul, Ill.; four grandchildren, Jeremy, Timothy, Jonathan and Geoffrey Ballard, all of Rantoul; and several nieces and nephews.
FUNERAL: 11 a.m. Friday at Hodges-Turner-Anderson Funeral Home, burial in Eastside Cemetery.
