Elizabeth was the daughter of Benjamin Wallace and Sarah Sargent. Married Rev. James Newhouse on 9 Aug 1802 in Washington Co, VA. James and Betsy lived in Franklin and Fayette Co, IN until the 1830s, when the family moved to Delaware County, IN.

***She and her husband, James, moved from Washington County, Virginia to Delaware (Franklin) County, Indiana in 1813-1814. Their middle child, Benjamin, (also buried in this cemetery), was born in Tennessee in 1813, enroute to Indiana.
