GRAPEVIEW, Wash. - Willie Hilliard Ball Jr. 71, of Grapeview, formerly of Mount Hope, W.Va., died April 26, 1997.
He was a World War II veteran and a retired Navy lieutenant with 30 years' service. He was a supervisor appraiser for Kitsap County, Wash., and a member of Shelton United Methodist Church, Shelton.
Surviving: wife, Joy Deacon Ball; son, Lt. Cmdr. Daniel J. Ball of Woodbridge, Va.; daughter, Wanda Ball Wolfe of Vancouver, Wash.; mother, Maude Crawford Ball of Highland Heights, Ky., brother, the Rev. Kenneth B. Ball of Parkersburg, W.Va.; sister, Irene Ball Workman of Silvergrove, Ky.; four grandchildren.
Graveside military service will be 1 p.m. today at Sunset Lane Cemetery, Port Orchard. Memorial service will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Shelton United Methodist Church. McComb Funeral Home, Shelton, is in charge of arrangements.
