Dorothy Bush Hook, 86, of Westminster, died Saturday, Dec.
21, 1996, at Carroll County General Hospital. Born May 2,
1910, in Westminster , she was the daughter of the
late Francis W. and Carrie Mae Devilbiss Bush.
She was the wife of the late James Gesell Hook, who died in 1979.
She lived her entire life on Old Westminster Pike, where she was
born. Besides being a loving mother and housewife, she worked
for the May Company and Quality Cleaners as a seamstress She
loved to cook and sew, and she enjoyed her family
She was a charter member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Reese and
Community Volunteer Fire Co and was a member of Reisterstown
Women of the Moose Lodge she was also a member of Grace
Lutheran Church
Surviving are son Charles Warren Hook of Westminster, son
and daughter-in-law James Randolph and Bonnie Lucille Hook of
Calvert County, brother Charles Edward Bush of Finksburg; and
grandson Kevin C Hook of Calvert County.
She was predeceased by a sister, Margaret Putman, and a brother,
Irving Bush.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Fletcher
Funeral Home, 254 E. Main St., Westminster, with her pastors, the
Rev. David B. Helfrich and the
Rev. L. Stanley Whitson, officiating. Interment will be in Trinity
Lutheran Church Cemetery in Smallwood
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 2 to 4
and 7 to 9 p.m.
