WOODVILLE - Services for Alma McKey McCurley, 88, of Gloster, who died Friday, Sept. 8, 2000, at her residence, will be held at 3:30 p.m. Monday at Woodville Baptist Church with Brother Bernard Waites and the Rev. Gary Bunch officiating.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Berryhill Funeral Home of Woodville. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 3 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mrs. McCurley was born July 29, 1912, in Centreville to Millard Philmore McKey and Georgia Anne Hughes McKey.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Perrytown Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Van McCurley Jr.; her parents; five brothers, Howard McKey, Troy McKey, Harry McKey, Roy McKey and Ray McKey; and one sister, Bernice Anthony.
Survivors include four sons and their wives, Mullen and Pearline McCurley of Gloster, Doug and Carrie McCurley of Natchez, Andrew and Sharon McCurley of Seffner, Fla., and Jennings and Cathy McCurley of Woodville; two daughters and their husbands, Myrtis and Kenneth Carter and Birdie and W.O. Kimbriel, all of Gloster; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Ruth Zimmerman of Natchez. Pallbearers will be Greg McCurley, Jerry Carter, Stan McCurley, Jeffrey Kimbriel, Michael McCurley and Clint McCurley. Honorary pallbearers will be Charlie Canova, Richard Lewis, Vernon Meeks, Lane White, Ken Canova, Elliott Leake, Melvin Robertson and Travis Sharp.
