Funeral services were held 10 o'clock Friday morning from the home in Sturgeon Lake village for Mrs. Rozalia Klosowski, 70, the Rev. Paul A. Ward of Willow River officiating, and burial was made in St. Isidore's cemetery. The body was carried to its last resting place by Louis Knapp, Stanley Grabowski, Louis Paulson, Ed Galvin, Anton Grabowski and Ed Waletzko.
A long time resident of Sturgeon Lake, Mrs. Klosowski died enroute home from California just after reaching the state of Montana. She suffered a heart attack on the train, was removed to a hospital at Browning and passed away June 12. With her at the time was a sister, Mrs. Katherine Danelski, Sturgeon Lake. The body was shipped to the Hamlin Funeral home at Moose Lake, arriving there Wednesday of last week.
The deceased was born in Poland August 12, 1878, coming to America in 1882, and to Sturgeon Lake in 1890 where on Feb. 1, 1899 she was united in marriage to Severin Klosowski. He passed away Dec. 25, 1943, and since that time Mrs. Klosowski has made her home in Sturgeon Lake village.
Survivors are eight children, Mrs. Leo DeWerff, Mrs. Ed Sychowski and Mrs. Walz, Chicago; Mrs. J.E. Galvin, Los Angeles, Calif.; Felix, Willow River; Theodore, Duluth; John and Adam, Sturgeon Lake; 10 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Katherine Danelski, Sturgeon Lake; and Mrs. Peter Shude, Milwaukee, Wis.
