Raitis spent most of his life in Latvia where he was born to Rihards Jankovskis and Daiga Jankovska. He lived with his parents until the age of six, and then in an orphanage with his brother, Modris, before both were adopted by the Headrick family in America in 2004. In 2008, I met Raitis online while searching for the biological family of my cousin Maris, who was also adopted from Lativa. This led to a reunion of the three brothers.

"Raitis M. Headrick, 23, passed away on April 25, 2011. He was born in Latvia and came to America in 2004.
