Almoth Dickey Barber, born 5 October 1883, married Ethel Bryan. They were living in Waco, McLennan County, Texas in 1918, when he registered for the military draft, and in San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas in 1930. He was very well off, according to the census information.

A. D. Barber. Survived by his wife; a daughter, Elizabeth; and one sister, Mrs. Heslip of Cisco. He had been living in Corpus Christi three years, serving as manager of the Great American Life Insurance company here. He was an elder of the First Presbyterian Church and president of the men's club of that church.
