A. P. Hargis, Lecturer at Cyclorama, Died After Long Illness
A. P. Hargis, 79 year old Confederate veteran and for the last five years lecturer at the Cyclorama of the Battle of Atlanta in Grant Park, died Tuesday morning at his residence, 485 Cherokee avenue, after a prolonged
illness.
Mr. Hargis was a member of Camp Wheeler of the United Confederate Veterans and participated in the battle of Atlanta. He is survived by five daughters, Mrs. C. E. White, of Okmulgee, Okla.; Mrs. J. B. LeCourt and Mrs. A. B. Matthews, of Texarkana, Texas; Mrs. A. G. Carter, of Marshall, Texas and Mrs. G. L. Hill of Atlanta and two sons, J. O. Hargis of Atlanta and A. S. Hargis of Birmingham, Ala.
