When George registered for the 1917 draft, he was in St Paul, MN. That must be when he met his future wife, Violet Joy Hart of Minnesota. They married on July 4, 1920 in Lopez, San Juan, Washington. They had one daughter. They were living in Wallingford, CT at least between 1929 and 1935. George was working in the Navy Shipyard in Washington when he registered for the 1942 draft.
