--Mrs Eliza Allen, who has been in bad health for several years, was taken seriously sick last week and died Saturday evening, September the 11th, '09, at her home in the north part of town. Her husband died June 9, 1903 at 78 years and 12 days. The funeral was conducted at her home Sunday afternoon at 5 o'clock by Rev T. S. Rice of the Baptist church, interment at the Humphreys cemetery. She leaves four sons, Jim and Will who are in the west, Ed or near Browning. Ray of Humphreys and three daughters Mesdames May Johnson of Colorado Springs, Nellie Poole of Charleston, W. VA and Josie Meekins of near Humphreys. The children all arrived but Jim, too late for the funeral. She was the oldest of 12 children, she being 74 years old. Only three of the family are livng, one brother, M L Swank of Humphreys, Mrs. Sarah Miller of Chula who attended the funeral and Mrs. Jennie Philips of Nebraska
