Funeral services for Mrs. Eliza Gilpin, 80, Sweetser, mother of Oscar Gilpin of LaFontaine, will be held at 2 PM Wednesday in the Sweetser Methodist Church with the Rev. Claude Tucker, pastor, in charge of the services.
Mrs. Gilpin died Sunday in the home of a son, Orlie Deal, Sweetser. She had been a resident of Sweetser since 1919 and was a telephone operator there 24 years.
Also surviving are 3 other sons, a sister, 9 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
