Annie Mae Bashlor Dixon, 84, of St. Mary's, GA died Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Jacksonville, FL.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, April 28, 2011 at Kingsland First United Methodist Church with Rev. W.A (Chip) Strickland officiating.
Entombment will follow the service at 4 PM in Evergreen Cemetery in Jacksonville, FL.
Family will receive friends Thursday, April 28, 2011 one hour prior to the service time at Kingsland First United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Dixon was a native of Bryan County and had been a resident of Camden County for 52 years. She was born November 30, 1926 to the late William Francis and the late Ronnie Schuman Bashlor.
Mrs. Dixon was a homemaker and a former member of the Kingsland Women's Club. She was also a member of the Kingsland First United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband: Sammy Dixon; her daughter: Patricia Dixon Adams; her sister: Lizzie Cox; and her brother: Carlton Bashlor.
Survivors include her son: Keith Dixon (Katherine); grandson: Hampton Dixon all of Kingsland, Georgia; daughter: Laura Lynn Dixon Kistner (Pat) of San Diego, CA; three sisters: Ruby Turner of Savannah, GA; Elloree Kennedy of Claxton, GA and Jean Helmey (George) of Savannah, GA; and several nieces and nephews.
Family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to be made to the Kingsland First United Methodist Church, 120 East William Avenue, Kingsland, GA 31548.
