"Isabelle G. Boehmen, 93, of Rockford died at 10:52 p.m. Sunday, April 10, 2011, in Wesley Willows Center for Health. Born May 19, 1917, in Belvidere, the daughter of Jess and Alma (Lungren) Geithman. Graduate of Rockford High School, Class of 1935, and University of Illinois, Class of 1939, where she was a Delta Gamma, a member of Zeta Phi Eta (speech honorary) and National Collegiate Players (drama honorary). She married Robert Ziock Boehmen in 1939; he died in 1987. Member and past president of the Junior League of Rockford and member of Second Congregational Church, where she was a former deaconess and served on the chapel and sanctuary guild. Isabelle was also a charter member of the choir guild and a member of Rockford Country Club and University Club. She is survived by her son, daughter, granddaughters, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren."
